About the DIY Recording Studio blog
Average Joes can sound like pros.
Years ago, in the mid 90s when I recorded my first album with my band, I spent countless hours - and tons of money - in the recording studio. I immediately fell in love with recording. The more time I spent in the studio, the more I learned - and the more I eventually felt confidant enough to try doing myself. In an effort to save money, I started strategically investing in gear that would allow me to record some of my tracks at home and bring them back to the studio to mix.
Over time, I learned more and more, and picked up enough gear, software, plugins and acoustic treatment to record everything at home.
This blog is the story of an average Joe learning to record like a pro.
